Use and care instructions
Before using your cookware for the first time, wash it with hot soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. Thoroughly rinse and carefully dry. Follow the following seasoning steps:
-
Pour 1 mm of oil on the bottom of the pan.
-
Heat oil to smoke point.
-
Turn off heat and allow to cool.
-
Remove oil and wipe pan with paper tissue.
-
Heat pan again for 2 minutes without oil. Your pan is ready to be used.
Compatibility and Oven Use
-
Suitable for use on any cooking surface, including induction.
-
All products with stainless steel handles are suitable for use in the oven.
-
Precautions for use in a conventional oven for other products:
-
Do not use the broil function.
-
Do not exceed 400°F for a maximum of 10 minutes.
-
Induction Cooktop Recommendations
To preserve the durability of your cookware when using induction:
-
Match the size of the burner to the diameter of the base of the cookware.
-
Gradually increase the temperature.
-
Avoid using the booster function.
-
Do not overheat when empty.
Usage Notes
-
Handle with care after long cooking times or oven use (risk of burning).
-
With use, steel cookware becomes discoloured (turning bluish or blackening). This is a natural reaction.
-
Do not leave food sitting in this cookware.
-
Do not use acidic food (tomatoes, white wine, lemon, etc.) in your steel cookware.
Clean up
-
Wash with a sponge and hot water.
-
Deglaze if residues are attached or let soak for a few minutes, then scrape.
-
Not dishwasher safe.
Care
-
Do not store in a damp place.
-
You can lightly oil the pan: apply 1 or 2 drops of oil (e.g., olive oil) to absorbent paper and gently rub the pan, inside and out. This creates a protective layer against oxidation. Wipe with a cloth or absorbent paper.
-
It is normal for the paper to colour; this is due to the seasoning process and does not mean another cleaning is necessary.
