Use and Care Instructions
Before first use, wash the cookware with hot soapy water and a soft, non-abrasive sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry carefully. Follow these seasoning steps:
-
Pour 1 mm of oil onto the bottom of the pan.
-
Heat the oil to its smoke point (until it starts to smoke).
-
Turn off the heat and allow it to cool.
-
Pour out the oil and wipe the pan with a paper towel.
-
Heat the pan again for 2 minutes without oil. Your pan is now ready to use.
Compatibility and Oven Use
-
Can be used on any type of cooktop, including induction.
-
All products with stainless steel handles are suitable for oven use.
-
Precautions for other products (without stainless steel handles) when used in the oven:
-
Do not use the "broil" function.
-
Do not exceed 400°F (approx. 200°C) for a maximum of 10 minutes.
-
Recommendations for Induction Cooktops
To maintain the durability of the cookware when using it on an induction surface:
-
Match the size of the heated cooking zone to the diameter of the cookware base.
-
Increase the temperature gradually.
-
Avoid using the "booster" function.
-
Do not overheat when empty.
Important Notes
-
Use caution after prolonged cooking or oven use (risk of burns).
-
With use, steel cookware may change color and develop blue or black discoloration. This is a natural reaction.
-
Do not leave food in the cookware after cooking.
-
Do not use acidic foods (tomatoes, white wine, lemon, etc.) in steel cookware.
Cleaning
-
Wash with a sponge and hot water.
-
If food residue is burnt on, use deglazing (pouring water into the hot pan) or soak for a few minutes, then scrape it off.
-
Do not wash in the dishwasher.
Care
-
Do not store in a damp place.
-
You can lightly oil the pan: place 1 or 2 drops of oil (for example, olive oil) on a paper towel and gently wipe the inside and outside of the pan. This creates a protective layer against oxidation. Wipe with a cloth or paper towel.
-
It is normal for the paper towel to become discolored; this is caused by the seasoning process and does not mean the pan needs to be washed again.
