The fruit and vegetable storage container helps reduce food waste and keep produce fresh for longer. Storing produce in a plastic bag or an overcrowded refrigerator drawer restricts airflow and allows moisture to build up, creating favorable conditions for spoilage. Each Produce Keeper uses natural activated carbon filters that trap and absorb ethylene — a gas released by fruits and vegetables that accelerates the ripening process.

The removable basket promotes airflow and helps prevent moisture buildup by reducing contact between produce and the bottom and sides of the container. A vent on the lid opens and closes, allowing the humidity level to be adjusted according to the produce being stored. An illustrated guide on the lid shows which fruits and vegetables require higher humidity — with the vent closed — and which keep better at lower humidity — with the vent open.
