They say, the more popular a brand, the more frequent are the cases of it being falsified. Similar facts are frequent in Georgia as well. In case of fake products, we are presented with low quality goods, mainly produced with cheap materials, which can be harmful for our health. As well as that, fake products deteriorate and lose their form easily.

We, Dressup Group, as partner of multiple international brands in Georgia, feel responsibility to inform our customers of methods for differentiating fake and original products. In this case, the brand we will talk about is Converse:

1. Check the packaging - Original Converse box has a Brand logo on it. It also has a mark, where shoe size, country of origin and serial number are presented (which matches the number on the shoe itself)

2. Compare the price - Original Converse, depending on the model, usually costs from 129 to 250 GEL. If new pair of Converse costs less, it is probably fake.

3. Check the sole. In real Converse, the inner sole will have the word Converse printed sharp and plain. The logo will be on the outsole as well, which, in case of originals, has to be firm.

4. Notice the tongue - brand logo will be printed very clearly on the top of the tongue. It is fake if the print is blurry or the thread in loose around the print. The traditional tongue is made of a thin canvas. Pay attention to the stitching around the border the tongue.

5. Verify the pinstripe. This is painted on the top edge of the sole. It should be smooth and perfect. If it is shaky, not crisp looking or uneven, it is a red flag.

6. And last, but not least, to have a guarantee, that the product you are buying in original, you should buy it from official partners of the brand!

Dressup Group is official respresentative of Converse in Georgia – brand collections are presented at Factory, Jeans Gallery Stores and online, at Dressup.ge.
